RIP Leon- Thank you for everything you have done for our organization. Our community will not be the same without you. Our prayers are with Paula and his family during this time.

Leon J. Eckman, 64, of Etters, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Holy Spirit Hospital Camp Hill. Leon was a Senior Sales Engineer for N.H. Yates & Co. Inc. of Cockeysville, Maryland. He is a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola, and was a member of it’s former Holy Name Society. Leon was a past President and football coach of the Redland Midget Football Organization. He was a member of the Robert Burns Lodge F&AM 0464, and the Vice- President of the Fishing Creek Community Association. Leon was an avid Casino follower, Golfer and Bowler. Surviving is his wife, Paula J. (Stambaugh) Eckman, two children; Sean J. Eckman, of Etters, and Kathi L. Klinger and husband Brian, of Mechanicsburg, a brother, Leonard W. Eckman and wife Theresa of Enola. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Anna Eckman, and a sister Lorraine Eckman. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, July 31, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 225 Salt Road, Enola. A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Center, Enola. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Capital Region Unit, 3221 N. Front St. suite 100 Harrisburg, PA 17110.
